AIRIA – All India Rubber Industries Association

Established in 1945, it is one of the oldest industries associations in India. Its objective is to safeguard and promote the interests of the Indian Rubber industry including raw materials and machinery. It has over 1200 country-wide members and some Industries Associations as its members. Its head office is in Mumbai, with four regional offices in Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai and Mumbai

The Role of AIRIA in the Indian Rubber Industry

AIRIA provides a platform for Indian entrepreneurs to interact within themselves and with the rest of the world. It receives and sends delegations all across the world. AIRIA helps identify partners for joint ventures, location of consumers and suppliers and also provides assistance in technical and manpower training. It also hands out ‘AIRIA Export awards’ by identifying outstanding contributions of its members to the exports of rubber products, rubber machinery and raw materials

The purpose behind AIRIA

AIRIA was set up to make the Indian Rubber Industry globally competent by ensuring synergy in the value chain. It aims to make India as one of the largest consumers and producers of rubber both for domestic use as well as exports. It works towards build state-of-the-art production capacities. It promotes R&D in cutting edge technologies for the entire value chain. It creates an atmosphere conducive to export of rubber products and raw materials. It attracts investment in rubber products and aims to create as many jobs as possible. It takes note of challenges and opportunities presented by the changing global environment and updates the members. It also enables the industry to build world-class, state-of-the-art manufacturing capabilities in conformity with global environmental standards. It sustains and strengthens knowledge, skills and capabilities of rubber technologists, planters, workers, and supervisors and enriches human resource skills.
